Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of IBI Text to Speech Converter (the “Service”), operated by India Business International (“IBI”, “we”, “us”). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
IBI is a browser-based reading tool that renders PDF documents, extracts text or performs on-device OCR, and reads the text aloud using voices supplied by your browser or operating system. It may move a pointer across the page in time with the voice.
PDF rendering, OCR and word tracking are designed to run on your device. IBI does not upload your PDF to an IBI server. Voice processing may be local or cloud-based depending on the voice you select; see the Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or use the Service under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. If you use the Service for a business, you confirm that you are authorised to bind that business to these Terms.
3. Licence and permitted use
Subject to these Terms and payment of applicable fees, IBI grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your personal or internal business reading. You may not resell, sublicense, rent, publicly redistribute or commercially exploit the Service, its code or its licence keys without written permission.
You may not reverse engineer, circumvent access controls, remove notices, or use the Service to build a competing product, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
4. Your documents
You retain all rights to the documents you open. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you have the right to access, copy, OCR and listen to each document. Do not use the Service for material that infringes copyright, privacy, confidentiality or any other right, or for content that is unlawful.
IBI does not claim ownership of your documents. The demo document included with the Service is original IBI content and may be used only to demonstrate the Service.
5. Plans and features
IBI may offer a free preview, an annual plan, a monthly plan and a lifetime plan. The features, page limits, voice availability and language packs included in each plan are described on the Pricing page or in the app at the time of purchase. Voice availability depends on your browser and operating system and is not guaranteed.
We may improve, change or discontinue features. We will not materially reduce a paid plan during its paid term without offering a reasonable remedy.
6. Prices, taxes and payment
Prices are displayed in the applicable currency. India prices include 18% GST. International prices are exclusive of local taxes, which may be added by the payment provider. The current prices are listed on the Pricing page.
Payments are collected through Razorpay using UPI, cards or netbanking in India, or cards internationally. A payment is not complete until it is verified by IBI or the payment provider. IBI does not store your full card number or UPI PIN.
7. Delivery and activation
The Service is digital. There is no physical shipping. Paid access is activated after Razorpay payment verification. Keep the Razorpay payment ID shown after checkout. If a payment cannot be matched automatically, contact indiabusinessinternational@gmail.com with that ID.
If activation is delayed, contact us at the email above with the order or payment reference.
8. Refunds and cancellation
Refunds and cancellations are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy. Nothing in that policy limits any statutory right you may have.
9. Third-party services
The Service relies on browser and operating-system speech synthesis, PDF rendering, OCR models, Cloudflare hosting and payment providers. Those services may be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Some cloud voices may send the text being read to the voice provider; choose a local voice if you require fully offline processing.
10. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- infringe copyright, database rights, privacy or confidentiality;
- process unlawful, malicious or abusive material;
- attack, overload or interfere with the Service or another user;
- resell access, share licence keys, or bypass payment or access controls;
- misrepresent the Service as your own product.
11. Availability and accuracy
The Service is provided on an “as available” basis. OCR and speech can contain errors, especially with poor scans, unusual fonts, tables or mixed columns. You should verify important information against the original document. We do not warrant uninterrupted or error-free operation.
12. Intellectual property
The IBI name, logo, interface, code, demo document and documentation are owned by or licensed to India Business International and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you ownership of the Service.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, IBI is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential loss, loss of data, loss of profit, or business interruption arising from use of the Service. Our total liability for a claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid IBI in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Termination
We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay, or use the Service unlawfully. You may stop using the Service at any time. On termination, your local data remains on your device unless you clear it.
15. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in the Service or law. The effective date will be updated. Material changes will be notified on the website or by email where appropriate.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at Kanyakumari, Tamil Nadu have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights.
